Building Disputes

Given the detailed nature of many building contracts, it is often the case that disputes arise concerning quality of work, timing and exact specifications. Whether it be on smaller individual matters or on larger corporate building contracts, we are able to assist and advise in the interpretation of the contract and, where necessary, in instructing and using building and surveying experts.

One of the key issues to be considered in all building disputes is whether alternative dispute resolution (ADR) by way of mediation or arbitration would be of assistance to the parties. The early use of this facility can often bring a cost-effective resolution. If it is not possible to resolve matters by way of alternative dispute resolution, Borneos can deal with and progress the case through the court process.
